About Blair
Blair Smith is a driver-first car enthusiast with a weakness for manual transmissions and high-revving engines.
His tastes range from Porsche GT cars to obscure Japanese kei vans….anything that rewards the driver with the right sound and feel.
While he feels that the Germans largely do it the “best,” there is a tool for every job and a car for every occasion, mood, and budget.
He believes cars should be fun — an escape from the pressures of work and the responsibilities of family life.

About David
David Van Epps is the Founder and President of Sonderwerks, a company dedicated to the restoration, service, and sale of vintage Porsche automobiles. Dave has had a lifelong passion for all things automotive, but Porsche became his passion in the mid 90s when he purchased a 1986 911 Cabriolet in Iris Blue. He was hooked on Porsche from that point on.
A serial entrepreneur, Dave at his core is a business builder, spending the earlier part of his career serving in senior executive positions in the digital media and marketing industry. Supporting private equity backed organizations he has led large sales organizations, grown start-ups and created new marketplaces for companies including Mood Media, ScentAir, Broadcast International and Muzak.
His automotive passions ultimately led to the founding of Sonderwerks in 2019. Looselytranslated, Sonderwerks means "Special Factory". That's how many have described the 15,000sq. ft. facility, in the Charlotte suburb of Cornelius, NC. Focused exclusively on the Porschebrand, Sonderwerks is one of a handful of shops in the country offering mechanical repair, metalfabrication, paint, body, and upholstery, all under one roof, Sonderwerks is truly a one-stop Porsche shop.
